Smt. Vanitha Mohan is the Vice Chairman of Pricol Limited, manufacturers of automotive components supplying to auto majors like Maruti, Toyota, Tata Motors, Bajaj, Hero Honda, Mahindra & Mahindra, TVS, etc. Pricol is one of the organizations in the region having more than 18% as women amongst the total employee content.
As the Vice Chairman of Pricol Limited, she heads the Pricol Rural Development Program to fulfill the Corporate Social Responsibilities of Pricol. Several community development activities such as water harvesting, afforestation, tribal welfare and health care for the community in and around Perianaickenpalayam have been initiated through her leadership.
She is the Managing Trustee of Siruthuli, an NGO formed to address the environmental problems of Coimbatore with focus on Water Management and enhancement of green cover of the region. As the Managing Trustee of Siruthuli, whose mission is to create a clean and green city, she has been focusing primarily on water resources management.
Her passion for children and their holistic development has resulted in the initiation of several programmes like Sittukkaludan Siruthuli to create large scale awareness amongst the student community on the need to protect and save Mother Earth for posterity.
She is the Vice President of RAAC (Residents’ Awareness Association of Coimbatore) – an organization whose objective is Azhagana Kovai – to create a world class city in terms of good infrastructure and cleanliness. She is a member of the Governing Council of the Coimbatore Chapter of the Indian Chamber ofCommerce and Industry. She is a member of CTAG (City Technical Advisory Group) of the Coimbatore Corporation to advise on environment related issues. She is also a Board member of Tamil Nadu Women’s Development Corporation.
